Evaluation of diamonds from CABRHA diamonds - we are choosing first-class quality for You

Carat (Weight)

The bigger the diamond, the more precious it is. The weight of diamond is measured in carats. 1 carat is equivalent to 0.2 grams.

Clarity (Quality, Fineness)

Each natural diamond contains various inner impurities. These impurities are invisible with the naked eye. Therefore a special 10 times magnifying loupe serves as a basic instrument for their recognition. These so-called admixtures determine the classification of fineness according to their number, colour, type, size and their location. Great impurities devalue the brilliance (the bigger they are, the lower the level of quality is). The clearer the diamond, the more rare it is to be found.

Most of the diamonds are from colourless to very light yellow or very light brown colour. We distinguish these differences in categories of colour. In principle it is accepted that: The clearer the white, the more precious the diamond is. Extra rare there are natural diamonds of red, pink, blue, green or dark yellow colour.

Proportions of cut are decisive also for the brilliance and the fire of the diamond. Symmetry evaluates individual deviations as regards exactness of shape and arrangement of facets. Diamond polish describes the character of facet surface and shine.

Diamonds are cut into various shapes, such as for example the cuts:

(Round) Brilliant, Oval, Marquise, Pear, Heart, Emerald, Princess
